MERGATE is a festival consisting of Mer-May, the Parade, & the Event

MER-MAY

The month leading up to the day is full of workshops and activities. Our crown making, costume-creating, Drag n Draw, and Mermaid Swim are a few things to look forward to!

THE PARADE

1st June 2024: We invite you to dress in a sea-inspired outfit and walk together alongside our promenade in celebration of seaside life. We will meet at 2pm at Palm Bay Cafe.

THE EVENT & BALL

After the Parade, the Event will include performances from some of Margate's finest, you will peruse market stalls, listen to environmental speakers, drink, eat and be MER-ry! Followed by the Mergate Ball into the wee hours of the night..
